What you can do with the Adbase MCP connector

How our own team speeds up ad production with AI

Written by Lowie Schepers

With the Adbase connector, your AI tool works directly in your Adbase account. It reads your ads, creatives and results, and can create Dimensions, concepts and briefs for you.

Not connected yet? See Connect Adbase to your AI tool.

Below are the most common use cases, in the order of a typical ad cycle. Many come straight from how our own team at Adflow makes ads. Each comes with a prompt you can copy.

Set up

Set up your Dimensions

Turn your personas, angles, products and offers into Dimensions, from your ads, reviews or an existing document.

Set up my Dimensions in Adbase from the attached document. Show me a proposal first.

Full walkthrough: Onboarding: Set up Dimensions and label your ads.

Label your ads

Label existing ads with the right persona, angle, product and offer, based on what's said and shown in the creative.

Label my 50 highest-spend ads of the last 360 days with Dimensions. Show me a table first.

Store your brand brief

Put your brand overview, tone of voice and do's and don'ts in a document in Adbase. Ask your AI tool to read it first, so everything it writes sounds like your brand.

Read our brand brief in Adbase first. Then [your request].

Analyse

See what works

Compare results per Dimension, or per combination.

Which angles had the best ROAS in the last 90 days? Show spend and number of ads per angle.

Which persona × angle combinations perform best, and which have barely been tested?

Check if you're repeating yourself

See whether most of your spend sits on one angle, persona or format. That's a sign to spread.

How is my spend spread across angles, personas and formats in the last 60 days? Where am I over-relying on one thing?

Understand why a winner works

Look at the hook, the structure and where viewers drop off.

Analyse my best spending ad of last month. What's the hook, how is it built, and where do people stop watching?

Plan

Find gaps to test

See which personas, angles or offers you haven't tested enough.

Which personas and angles have little or no spend in the last 90 days? Suggest 3 to test next.

Turn objections into concepts

Attach your reviews or ad comments as a CSV. Your AI tool finds the objections and checks which ones none of your ads address yet.

Find the main objections in the attached reviews CSV. Which ones don't any of my current ads address? Suggest a concept for each.

Pick your next concepts

Get concepts proposed from what wins, what you haven't tested and what customers say. You choose.

Read our brand brief in Adbase first. Based on our Dimensions, our top ads by spend and the gaps in our testing, propose 5 concepts (persona × angle × awareness). Rank them and say why.

Plan your next batch

Get a set of concepts spread over personas, angles, formats and awareness levels, ordered by what to make first.

Plan my next 10 concepts. Build on what works, fill the gaps, and spread over personas, angles, formats and awareness. Show a table first, then create the ones I approve in Adbase with their Dimensions.

Make

Get format ideas

Concept first, format second. Ask for a wide menu so you don't keep making the same ad.

For concept [CONCEPT], give me 8 format options (static and video), each with a one-line idea and how well it fits.

Write hooks before the full ad

Approve short drafts first: hooks plus the direction of the body. You never lose a day on an idea you drop.

Write 4 hook options and a body direction for [CONCEPT] as [FORMAT]. Use customer words from the attached reviews. No brand speak.

Write the script (video)

Turn the chosen hooks and body into a full script that sounds like a person, not a brand.

Write the full script for the chosen hooks and body. Short spoken sentences, one thought per line. No em dashes, no lists of three for effect.

Create concepts and briefs

Create a concept in Adbase with the brief already written and the Dimensions set. Add separate briefs for your editor, creator or designer under it.

Create a concept for [IDEA] with the right Dimensions. Add an editor brief with 3 hooks and one body.

Iterate on a winner

Keep what works and change one thing: a new hook, a different format or another persona.

Create 3 iterations of [AD NAME]: same body, 3 new hooks. Keep the Dimensions.

Learn

Review your last batch

See how the ads you launched recently are doing.

How are the ads I launched in the last 2 weeks doing? Show spend and results per ad, with their Dimensions.

Compare hooks

When you tested several hooks on the same body, see which one won.

I tested 3 hooks on [AD NAME]. Which got the most spend and the best hook rate?

Weekly review

Get an overview of what was made, what launched and what performs.

Give me a weekly review: concepts created, ads launched, and the top 5 ads by spend with their Dimensions.

For editors and designers

Find footage

Search your library by what's said or shown in a video, not just by file name.

Find all videos where someone talks about [TOPIC].

See which shots hold attention

See where viewers keep watching and where they drop off, per shot. Also across different edits that use the same footage.

Which opening shots and b-roll in our videos hold attention best? Where do viewers drop off?

Read the brief and feedback

Get the brief and all comments on an asset before you start editing.

Show me the brief for [CONCEPT] and all feedback on the latest version of [ASSET].

Good to know

  • Your AI tool sees what your Adbase account can see. Nothing more.

  • Ask for a proposal first. Let it show what it will create or change, then approve.

  • It can't delete. Remove Dimensions or values by hand in Adbase.

  • It can't upload files or launch ads. You do that in Adbase.

  • Don't switch brands in Adbase while it's working. It loses access.
