How to create briefings faster

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Documents in Adflow are used to brief video editors and creators so teams can produce many high-quality ads every week.

They connect instructions, assets, ads, and structure in one place. So your entire production workflow lives inside Adflow.

💡 What is a Document?

A Document is a visual briefing page connected to Adflow’s asset library.

Use them to

  • manage ad concepts from concept to launch

  • brief creators

  • brief video editors

  • save your research

Documents are made for speed and clarity.

🎯 What problem do Documents solve?

Teams want to:

  • produce ads faster

  • keep quality high

  • avoid confusion and back-and-forth

Documents solve this by:

  • turning ideas into clear instructions

  • showing assets visually instead of explaining them

  • letting you create, manage, and review ad concepts in the same place

  • reusing structure instead of starting over

They are a core building block of a repeatable ad production system.

✍️ How to create a Document

  1. Click + and select Create document

  2. Give the document a clear name

Example: Video Briefing – Summer Sale

  3. Start typing

The Document is saved automatically.

⚡ Build faster with the / menu

While typing, press / to open the quick menu.

Use it to:

  • add headings

  • create lists

  • insert assets

  • insert ads

🖼️ Add visual asset previews

Documents are fully integrated with Adflow’s asset library.

You can:

  • search and browse assets

  • insert one or multiple assets

  • show previews directly in the Document

Editors see exactly which asset to use and where.

🎬 Reference a specific moment in a video

When briefing editors, you can pin an instruction to a specific timestamp or range in a video.

This makes editor briefs much clearer. Instead of writing "around 0:12", you mark the exact moment and add your note directly.

How it works:

  1. Open a video asset in a Document

  2. Navigate to the moment you want to highlight

  3. Select a point or range in the asset

When the editor watches the video, it starts playing from that moment.

👥 How editors use Documents

Editors open a Document and see:

  • what to make

  • which assets to use

  • how the ad should be structured

They can download all files and start editing immediately.
